Hi! I’m Ainslie — the face (usually hidden!) behind A.H Photography, as well as a wife and mum to two incredible Autistic whirlwinds who keep life busy, loud, and wonderfully unpredictable.
I’m 28, born in Glasgow, but raised in the beautiful seaside town of Nairn, where my love for photography really began. From as far back as I can remember, I was borrowing my dad’s camera any chance I got. I was fascinated by the idea that a single click could freeze a moment in time. Thankfully, I now have my own cameras… so Dad finally gets to keep his!
As a mum of two special needs children, I understand firsthand the challenges that can come with sensory overload, overstimulation, and the need for patience—lots and lots of patience. That’s why I cherish the real moments. The unposed, unpredictable, perfectly imperfect seconds that say more than a staged photo ever could. Those are the moments I live to capture.
When my face isn’t hiding behind a camera, you’ll usually find it hiding behind a book instead. And if I’m not reading, I’m out exploring with my kids—capturing them in their happiest places and making memories one adventure at a time.
